My Project
My students are absolutely amazing and have a deep love for learning. Reading is a huge part of our classroom, and I am excited to introduce the Harry Potter series to them. Many of them have not read any of the books previously, and I am excited to provide them with an experience that will give them a true love of reading.
Helping my students to gain a love of reading is one of my largest priorities, and I believe through reading and experiencing this book together, many of them will gain just that.
As a child, I read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone when I was in 5th grade for the first time, the same age as my students. Reading was a bit of a struggle for me, but this book changed my outlook on reading. Reading became something I wanted to do, rather than just a chore I needed to accomplish. Even if only one of my students can have a similar experience to what I had, it will be worth it to me.
