My Project
We are requesting a class set of Donna Barba Higuera's La última cuentista for our 6th graders' narrative unit. We are so excited to read this beautiful book with our students.
Through engaging, rich texts that provide mirrors and windows for our students in their own identities and others, we hope to increase student engagement in reading and literacy.
This book will expose students to a new genre and diverse perspectives, while also connecting to familiar stories and points of view. We hope that this text, with its rich language, will also inspire our students as writers.
