My students need a place to sit and learn in the classroom. They need a classroom carpet.

I teach second grade in a Title I school in Southwest Philadelphia. Our school struggles daily. All of my students are poverty stricken, receive free lunch and struggle academically. Because of budget constraints, we receive no supplies, no money towards our classroom, leaving teachers to purchase everything.
Some of the students at my school are homeless, some can't afford shoes; and the teachers, including myself, buy these students these things.
Our students could excel so much more with the resources they need/deserve!
In our classroom, there has consistently been a need for more desks, chairs and a place for the children to learn on a carpet. We do not have enough desks and chairs for our students in my classroom.
Sometimes, students have to sit on the floor, or share desks to have a work place.
Limited distractions enhance learning. With the addition of a carpet to our classroom, we can eliminate desks and excessive clutter. It also will create space to increase movement during transitions and brain breaks simultaneously providing enough seating for every student. Students will feel at home.
