This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Kids may not always remember what you say, but they will remember how you made them feel! They will remember the colorful warm room and comforting feeling of coming into a nice learning space every morning. Help me foster a great sense of community and a safe learning environment for my third graders this year!
My students are very bright dual language students in the 3rd grade!
They strive to work hard every day in both English and Spanish instruction and come from very diverse cultural backgrounds. Having been together since Kindergarten, they are a close-knit group of kids who are eager and excited to tackle the third grade and continue their learning in both languages.
My Project
Do you remember your teacher calling the class over to the carpet? It is one of the most memorable and fun times as an elementary student!
A large, bright classroom carpet will give us a space to meet together as a group for important lessons and class discussions.
It will fit right in with our classroom library so that students have a comfy place to read. Because of the carpet's organized rows of colored squares, seat-to-carpet transitions will be quick and easy because every student can have their own spot! A carpet can make the world of a difference to our classroom environment and aesthetically transform the room. It is magical!
