A Magic Carpet Ride

Help me give my students a carpet to sit on for story time so we won't have to sit on the bare floor.

My Students

My 1st graders come from homes that struggle financially. That doesn't slow us down. Obstacles are made to be defeated. We came to school this year excited to be here and ready to work.

My Rocketeers have a "can do" attitude and a willingness to take risks, and that lets me know that we are going to go far this year no matter the obstacles in our path.

We are a team that will win or lose together, but we will WIN!

My Project

Our district provides carpet only for kindergarten classes. Now that I have been placed in a 1st-grade class, we're in great need of a rug to sit on for carpet time.

Carpet time just isn't the same without the ​carpet.

I am also asking for supplies critical for students. 1" binders and sheet protectors are used so that I can provide students with Rocket Books in which they keep practice materials that they can use at home to practice essential skills. Primary composition books allow my students to practice their handwriting skills on primary story paper. Each year I struggle to get enough of the supplies needed. Your donation will assure my students get the supplies they need to succeed.
