My Students
The 28 multicultural children who I spend most of my day with are extremely hardworking and come to school each day to do their absolute best. Although our classroom has the bare minimum in terms of supplies and equipment, my students make the best out of so little. It makes me feel extremely privileged to be their teacher. The children have also formed a bond with each other that goes beyond the walls of the classroom. They are very helpful to each other and the first ones to finish an assignment are also the first ones to want to help their classmates.
My students are also a very giving group.
Although most of their families do not have funds to spare, the children recently emptied their own piggy banks to help raise money for little boys and girls with cancer.
My Project
A MacBook Air would really help specific students in my classes be able to practice Math and Reading interventions at home. This very amazing computer would serve as additional help at home for boys and girls who have no way of getting that support they need. Many parents today do not know how to help their children. This computer would provide educational information for parents as well as their children. Not every child can handle homework, even if they aren’t lacking basic skills. If funded, this MacBook would be be a tool to help both parents and children who need that extra support in both Reading and Math. Please help me to provide an amazing computer to children and parents who need a helping hand.
