My Students

I teach a first grade ALC (Advanced Learning Center) classroom in a public school. I have 24 bright, inquisitive students that are eager to learn. They come from many diverse backgrounds.

I want my students to be lifelong learners.

My students come to school excited and ready to learn. They walk into our class each day full of life and excited for what is in store for them that day. They are creative, motivated, and love to learn new things.

My Project

My students have been working hard on reading this year. They are so proud of progress they have made. Now that they know how to read, they really want to start reading chapter books. During distance learning, students were forced to read digital books. Now that we are back in the classroom, then I would love to be able to put some good books in the student’s hands.

My students are excited about reading!

They are eager to read chapter books. These sets of beginning chapter books will be used for small group reading instruction. They will allow me to differentiated my reading instruction to better meet the needs of my students. These book sets will help the children work on and improve their reading fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary.
