This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students generally come from low-income families that live around the school neighborhood located in the Southeast area of San Diego. Most of my students are African American and Latino, followed by students from the Pacific Islands or Asian backgrounds.

Our school is a unique place.

The school has a great percentage of students with special needs; therefore, our school needs to be equipped with technological devices, lab tools and materials, and other resources that will guarantee that all students have what they need to learn and succeed adequately.

My Project

My students worked on an Applied Digital Skills assignment that taught them how to create a logo. The logo represented who they are as a person and celebrated Black History Month and diversity. Therefore, I would like to reward my students' participation on the assignment with the specific items they requested.

The requested items vary from pillows, sharpies, led lights, dinosaur toys to paint canvas, and are as unique as my students.

They will be excited to receive such gifts for expressing who they are through an artistic and digital task.
