This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In a language class, visuals and sounds are essential to stimulate the Multiple Intelligences. My students are bright and would love to explore many educational venues using a computer station. This Microsoft Surface would serve as our computer station.
My students are mostly on free and reduced lunch.
This means that they are in a Title I school surrounded by a very needy and transient population. This tool will be instrumental in providing a window to the world of language, science, and mathematics. It will be a research tool for my students to succeed and to compete in this global village. Since I teach multiple grades, this donation will have a tremendous impact due to vast number students that I teach daily.
My Project
My students will gain access to more than a dozen websites and applications that require a computer. Through the use of the Microsoft Surface and Keyboard Cover, my students will have a computer station available to them. This computer station will enhance and enrich their education while differentiating instruction, thus optimizing their learning experience in programs such as Brainpop, Tumblebooks, AR Reading, etc.
This project will help give my students a chance to succeed in a very competitive world.
