My Project

My elementary students have big emotions that run through their little bodies each day. It can be difficult to self-regulate. Speaking about emotions can be scary with my little ones.

The Little Spot of Emotion book series is a great tool that is on a younger kids' level to help them understand their emotions, put words to their emotions, and eventually help them regulate their emotions.

I work with students on emotional regulation in individual, small groups, and sometimes whole-class settings. Using books and plushes to engage students, makes a big topic, seem not so scary.
