Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students LOVE the little SPOT books, written by Diane Alber. We have exhausted all of the books we have currently in our classroom and would love to expand our collection to include even more little SPOT books. My students, especially this year, need lots of assistance with coping and emotional skills. Being part of a school that is predominantly students that are on the Autism Spectrum, these books are crucial to assisting my students in their social and emotional growth.
My students have been growing so much this year, academically and emotionally, partially due to these great SEL books!
They love learning the new 'characters' introduced in each book, and we would love to continue to grow their love of both SEL books, and reading in general!
