This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Over the summer I worked at my local professional baseball stadium. We all wore lanyards with our ID cards and after awhile you could see the different enamel pins people put on their lanyards. They marked different milestones, achievements and recognitions. People were proud of their pins.
A little encouragement goes a long way.
I would like to use this to encourage and recognize achievement and growth in my school. If a student reads a lot- they get the book pin for their lanyard! If a teacher is helpful- they get the helper pin to recognize going above and beyond! The little things can yield big feelings of pride and joy.
