A Little Calm, A Little Breath, A Little Yoga

Help me give my students mindfulness, calm, and a healthy lifestyle by funding this Yoga For Preschoolers Project.

My Students

Our young learners are attempting to navigate a new social world. They are hopeful, eager, curious and active. Our students are craving stimulation and use their senses to explore the indoor and outdoor learning environments. Some students jump right in socially while others tend to hang back and observe. Despite the pandemic, we have just opened our doors full day, five days a week. We have put in place many safety, sanitation and social distancing guidelines for staff and students.

We are located in a small bayshore community where we encourage problem-solving, initiative and divergent thinking while we show respect for ourselves, others and our community.

My Project

I would love to be able to give all my students their own yoga mat to use in the classroom. This will help extend the practice that we are already doing now. I would like to reinforce mindfulness techniques and breath work with my preschoolers. This will assist in their social emotional development as well as their ability to problem solve.

Please help me in continuing to foster healthy habits and lifestyles that they can carry with them as they grow.

The exercise and body awareness component to yoga is a part of our curriculum as well and my students need to be motivated to participate with me now, more than ever. Please consider donating to this project. Namaste.
