My students are a small group of children who crave education in a number of ways. They work twice as hard as the average child in order to achieve similar goals, but this does not stop them from achieving. They come to school every day in order to gain all that they can from our program, and we look forward to providing it for them.
Early childhood education sets in motion a variety of journeys for each child, and, for these children, we aim to make each journey successful because that's what we do!
We are from a small community with a big heart. Although we try to give our children what they need, we are not able to provide it all.
My Project
The items requested in this project will benefit the students learning remotely during these uncertain times. While we strive to provide activities that include materials that can be found in the home, there are some materials such as pom poms, pipe cleaners, foam pieces, and manipulative items that most do not have readily available. While we encourage the children to reduce, recycle, reuse, some materials have no substitute.
Each of the items will serve multiple purposes such as being able to create games and activities with the materials when given instructions or for the child themselves to create some to display on the classroom website.
For children that are 3 and 4 years old, it is all about exposure and experience and these materials will provide them with the necessary exposure and experience to not only decorate their home world, but to build bonds with their families to create things together and build on skills and concepts that would be introduced during a typical school day.
