My Students
My second grade students have a lot of energy! I like to incorporate as many hands-on activities into the day as possible so that my students have opportunities to use their energy constructively.
I have 26 enthusiastic and creative second grade students.
They love coming to school and are eager to learn. Our school includes students from pre-k to eighth grade. It is a Title 1 school, which means that many of my students' families are living below the poverty line. Approximately 85% of the students receive free lunch.
My Project
I am requesting a little bit of everything to ensure that I have the materials needed to give my students the hands-on learning experiences they need. The 30 plastic bins will be used to store classroom materials that my students use on a daily basis. These bins are sturdy, so they can be used year after year and they will help to keep our classroom supplies organized.
The magnets and Watch & Record Plant Lab will enhance our science curriculum by giving my students the materials they need to perform experiments with plants and magnets. The magnetic clock will help my students to practice and master the skill of telling time.
I strive to incorporate hands-on activities into my classroom as much as possible.
The bins, magnets, Watch & Record Plant Lab, and magnetic clock will be incredibly helpful for keeping my students engaged and for organizing materials in our classroom.
