This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarten students are always eager and hungry to learn every day. Their excitement about learning is a driving factor for me as a teacher. I am always looking for new ways to engage my students.
My current kindergarten students were just toddlers when the pandemic hit, they weren't able to grow up with typical social interactions.
Dramatic play allows students to use their creativity to foster their imagination while also helping them build on social skills/interactions with one another.
The materials that I am requesting will help expand our dramatic play center. The dramatic play items will allow my kinders to be the chef, baker, barista, shopper/customer, and more! They will have the opportunity to practice self-control, language development, and problem solving strategies, as they assume the different roles. The groceries, play sushi, ice cream stand, and other play foods will add tons of fun for different themes in our dramatic play center.
My students get so excited to explore materials. I love watching their imaginations grow! Thank you for considering my project for your donation. Your donation will make a huge difference to twenty three little learners!
