The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The light table and manipulatives will be placed by my desk and will be used as another activity to support their independent learning and to work one-on-one with students. The flexible seating will be used on the carpet to support my students' engagement during large group times. The books will be either sent home with students to be read with family or placed in our classroom library to be enjoyed on their own. The laminating sheets will be placed in the teacher's resources since I have to create many resources myself and laminating them lets them last longer.
These supplies might seem like simple items, but they will mean a world of difference for my students.
The light table and manipulatives will be yet another way for my students to connect play to our large group activities. The bilingual books are going to be a great way for my students' families to connect with their children and support their language development.
