My Project

I teach in a Title I school, meaning our students are already underrepresented and disadvantaged. Many of my students do not have books at home. For most, my class is their first learning environment. I would love to build social-emotional development and promote acceptance while building their literacy skills.

Books become more relevant and engaging when we see characters that look like us.

Representation matters! Please help me to provide a learning environment that is inclusive of the ethnicities, cultures, differing abilities, languages, family types, etc. whom I serve.
