Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year I am teaching in a very multicultural and diverse classroom. This fact brings me joy and also challenges me to develop strategies to improve and upgrade my children's potential. Due to the characteristics of my students, (most of my children are ELL/SLL and ESOL). I must be creative and present the lesson in a very visual, attractive, and effective way to achieve my goals. For this reason, I need to use not only engaging educational resources but also present the content in such a way that the effectiveness of my instruction is linked to the level of motivation and learning enthusiasm of my students.
I am always searching for different resources to be able to spark and impact the cognitive peculiarities of every student.
As important as the resources themselves is the way we present the lesson. I have always thought that a mobile magnetic board would be a fantastic way to show the students the vocabulary, visuals, graphic input charts, storyboards, etc... Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to acquire one. This is, in my opinion, an essential pedagogical resource. By donating it to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
