A Laminating Machine Would Make Children's Hard Work Last Forever!

My students need a laminating machine to help keep their beautiful work intact.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income school district, I see that my students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. We spend a big part of the day together, and one of my goals is to always provide them with authentic, meaningful experiences on a daily basis.

My students are inquisitive, curious and very eager to learn.

They love to learn about new things and especially love hands-on activities. Many of my students are being raised in single-parent households and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. Unfortunately, some of these things may prevent them from acquiring the life experiences many of us see as "typical". From the minute they walk into my classroom my job is to not only teach them but to make their day a memorable one. I want them to leave my class on a daily basis thinking, "Learning is fun."

My Project

A laminating machine would be such a wonderful resource in our classroom. It would be put to great use in my classroom and would be used on a daily basis. By having a laminating machine and laminating pouches, I would be able to laminate my students' work, sight words cards, chart papers, game cards, literacy centers, math centers and so much more!

The sky's the limit with a wonderful resource such as this.

My kindergarten students are learning so many sight words this year. Having this amazing resource in my classroom would help my students in so many ways. For example, when we learn new sight words I would be able to write them on cards for each student and laminate them so they could last all year long. Math games would also be able to be laminated and used for the entire year. There are so many things a laminating machine could do. This laminating machine would really come in handy and would be a great addition to our wonderful classroom.
