My Project

A Kindness Club can transform my school. It can encourage and inspire students to think beyond themselves and seek out opportunities to show compassion and kindness to their peers and others.

Having a Kindness Club can improve emotional intelligence, learning capabilities, and overall school climate.

In the Kindness Club we will have stickers, poster boards, lights and microphones and many other items that will help set up the kindness club. These materials will make an impact of compassion for our classrooms, our school, and our community.

Too often I hear of a child being bullied, being violent, or just being mean. It is heartbreaking to read and/or hear about. I have already intentionally created a culture of kindness in my classroom. I would like to spread the compassion and kindness further outside of my classroom.

By creating a Kindness Club for my school, we will be making it public that kindness and compassion are valued. It doesn’t take a lot of talent or skill to participate in kindness activities so it is something that is inclusive to everyone. With administrative support, it can be made as important as any sports team or theater program, and you don’t have to worry about a losing season. Kindness always wins!

All students are special just because, and they are fully capable of being kind and should receive kindness. Our youth are exposed to so much, I would like to expose them to being kind and compassionate. Small acts of kindness being performed by the Kindness Club, positive vibes will transform to other parts of the school. Students, teachers, and staff will feel appreciated and valued. That is the most powerful transformation tool available.
