My Project

The rigor of the curriculum and its demands have created an atmosphere of disinterest and has led to classes full of demotivated students! The lack of interest in school activities has driven them to seek solace in the social media world, which has led them to become entitled and uncompassionate to the real world and people.

Along with some SEL read alouds, art supplies and cleaning tools such as the vacuum cleaner(which will hopefully teach them accountability for cleaning after themselves) I hope to bring the real world to them!

I am trying to create alternatives for them to express their creativity through art and drawing, all the while teaching them to be accountable for a clean classroom and develop empathy for others who work behind the scenes to keep their classes clean and tidy. A lot of kids these days have no concept of chores! I hope that they will learn that we can bring care and beauty into our real world in many different ways.
