My Students

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

When they learn something new and make a connection with real-world experiences you should see the light bulbs going off.

The theme in our classroom is Washington University Huskies, which exposes our scholars to options greater than what they could imagine.

At our school, "All roads lead to college!"

My Project

Classroom environment is one of the most important factors affecting student learning. Such an environment provides relevant content, clear learning goals and feedback, opportunities to build social skills, and strategies to help students succeed. These animal print trimmers and the burlap better than paper will help to make the learning environment more student friendly and welcoming. Also, by allowing scholars to use hands-on materials is especially important in the classroom because it allows students to engage in kinesthetic learning. It allows students to experiment with trial and error, learn from their mistakes, and understand the potential gaps. The number line math activity and visualize part whole relationship will allow scholars to develop more cognitive and fine motor skills, which provides a love for learning.
