it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I deeply admire my clients for their resilience, creativity, and unique perspectives on life despite the challenges they face. Each one brings a special spark that makes our office a vibrant place for growth and learning. This project aims to provide them with the resources needed to create calming glitter jars, which will serve as essential tools for emotional regulation and mindfulness.
The items we’re requesting—jars, glitter, and a calming jar book—will make a profound difference in their learning by helping them develop vital coping skills.
The glitter jars will allow clients to visualize their emotions as they watch the glitter settle, providing a physical representation of calming down. This hands-on activity will also enhance their fine motor skills and encourage creativity while engaging them in a therapeutic practice that supports their emotional well-being. The calming jar book will guide them in understanding the purpose of their creations and teach them various techniques to use the jars effectively during moments of stress or anxiety.
Our goals for this project are to foster a safe and supportive environment where clients can learn to manage their emotions, improve their focus, and promote a sense of calmness both in and out of the office. By integrating mindfulness practices, we aspire to enhance their overall learning experience and equip them with tools that will benefit them throughout their lives.
What makes my clients special is their incredible ability to collaborate, support one another, and embrace challenges with courage. By investing in these glitter jars and the accompanying resources, we are not just providing materials; we are empowering them to take charge of their emotional health and build a brighter, more mindful future.
