Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how eager my third graders are to learn and take on new responsibilities. This is such a pivotal year where students grow more independent, and I want to give them the tools to stay organized and feel ownership over their work. My students come in each day full of energy, curiosity, and a desire to do their best. They take pride in their classroom and are learning what it means to be responsible members of a community.

That’s why I’m requesting student mailboxes and Lysol wipes.

The mailboxes will give each student a designated space to store their finished work, handouts, and take-home papers. This not only keeps our classroom more organized, but it also helps students build executive functioning skills like managing materials and planning ahead. It’s a simple structure that makes a big difference in their confidence and independence.

The Lysol wipes will help us keep our shared learning space clean and healthy, something that’s especially important during cold and flu season. When students see that we care about their environment, it reinforces that their learning space matters. These materials will help create a more structured, safe, and supportive classroom for all of us. Thank you for considering a donation to help our third grade class thrive!
