My Project

I teach amazing students in a small, rural K-8 school. Our students have experienced three years of interrupted education due to Covid and Hurricane Michael. We have been working hard to close the learning gaps and are now revitalizing our music program.

Music is one subject that crosses over into every other area of curriculum!

Music helps to develop language, reasoning and mathematical skills. The more we can tie subjects together, the more beneficial the instruction is for the students. As important, music includes singing, dancing and acting which gets our kids up and moving!
