My students need to practice a variety of math objectives in fun small group workstations using math manipulatives. The Early Math Partner Games Library, Fun to Count Games, math manipulatives and laminator I am asking for will help provide this.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
All children learn better in a rich classroom environment. The math materials that will be provided will help meet this need. My pre-k children will love learning their objectives with fun math games and materials. Fun is the key word. Children at this age learn a great deal through play.
My school is located in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood.
The students must be in a lower income bracket to qualify for pre-k. Many of their parents are either from Hispanic countries or are first generation Americans. My four and five years old come eager and ready to learn about the world around them. They especially love learning through play. Many of the games and equipment will help make my classroom an exciting place to be.
My Project
I have chosen a variety of hands on math activities to cover several math objectives. Some examples of the activities are:
The use of magnatiles to help create concepts of shape, symmetry and spatial concepts in a fun creative way.
The early math games to help reinforce basic math concepts such as patterning, sorting, measurement, shapes and more.
The geoboard design center gives children hands on practice in geometry.
Pop and Add, and Fishing for Fun are fun ways to practice and create addition problems.
The Giant RollerRamps will help the children experience the principal of ramps which is a basic concept in physics.
The 3d magnetic shapes will help the children with problem solving another important objective in pre-k.
The laminator and film will help me put a protective film on the math games. This will make the games last longer in pre k hands. All of the resources are chosen to help the children experience math concepts in a enjoyable and exciting environment.
How children experience math objectives makes a huge difference on how they understand the objectives they are learning. If they get hands on experiences they will begin to see the relationships and connections in mathematics not just the procedures.
Positive attitudes about mathematics will be created, which will stay with them throughout their life.
