A hands-on look at how humans affect a nearby river.
My students need a water quality testing kit to talk a walk to a nearby river and study the water quality of a river in an urban setting.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our 7th grade science class can be found in a recent addition to an Illinois school. The team consists of 3 teachers and roughly 85 students of mixed diversity and ability in three classes.
While our room is less than 10 years old, some class supplies date back to the 1960s. We would like to bring in up-to-date supplies to bolster our science curriculum.
We are looking to implement a water quality unit in the class and have a wonderful river system within walking distance of the school. We would like a water quality testing kit to take a short field trip to the river to see how an urban population affects water quality of a nearby river.
You can help these students to learn about a natural resource that many students assume will take care of itself. Your donation can help students understand the affects of the population on an important resource of the region.
