Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I like to ensure a great start to the school year for my students. This year, I want them to start by having them create their own bracelets and add charms to express their likes. Students will be able to explain why they chose the charms they did. The Squishy toys will be used for prizes for meeting academic goals, and also for the students who need to self-regulate their emotions. Students feel nervous and are scared, so this will help to control their feelings. Emoji stamps and the water bottle stickers will also be used for rewards. Birthday crowns will be used to celebrate their birthdays and to make them feel special in our classroom. The name tags will help me recognize the students, and the pencil name tags will be used to display students' work. The pencil sharpener will help me reduce time wasted sharpening pencils out of my classroom. A pencil sharpener will allow me to sharpen pencils when needed. The file folders will help me organize students' work and have it in one place to show parents during conferences and student meetings. I will be reading the book on the first day of school and will read it again on the last day of school to end the year. This year, I would like to have an inspirational bulletin board for my students to read and inspire themselves. I can also refer to it during the year.
