A Great Place to Learn!

My students need a new and exciting rug to sit on and enjoy the lessons of the school day.

My Students

Do you remember gathering on a special rug for story time, or sitting comfortably on a brightly colored rug as you listened to your teacher? Well, our first grade class is looking for that special rug to add to our classroom!

I have 20 busy first graders who come to school eager to learn everyday.

However, minutes are wasted every day as we gather in the front of the class trying to find the perfect place to sit because our current rug is too small! The rug I have chosen has a place for every student. This will help with classroom management as they quickly find their special place on the rug each day.

My Project

The rug will provide a more comfortable place for my students as well as make the learning experience during our group time more enjoyable. Our rug will be used several times throughout the day for activities, story telling, centers, and introducing new material. Having a rug will create a special meeting place that promises every student their own personal space that allows them to see the teacher and listen and learn throughout the day.

I believe this rug will help my students increase their learning when we are on the floor and focus on the material being taught.
