This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m excited about our wonderful kindergarten classroom and the incredible learning experiences we’re creating together. As you know, a kindergarten classroom is a lively and dynamic space with ever-changing supply needs. Whether we’re creating colorful art projects, writing imaginative stories, or exploring the digital world with our Chromebooks, having the right materials is essential!

My amazing students are capable of incredible things, especially when they have the right tools!

This year, we’ll be using flair tip pens during our writing sessions, allowing students to feel like true professional writers as they craft narrative, informational, and persuasive texts. It’s such a joy to watch their creativity flourish!

We also love getting crafty with tissue paper for collage projects. This hands-on activity helps students practice important skills like cutting and gluing, all while expressing their artistic talents!

To enhance our technology use, having extra chargers for our Chromebooks would mean that every student can participate fully in their computer time without the worry of a dead battery.

Lastly, keeping open communication with parents is vital in our classroom. I send home printed letters on brightly colored paper to share important updates, ensuring that parents are always in the loop and engaged in their child’s learning journey.
