This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a practicing teacher, I'm passionate about providing my students with the best possible learning experience. That's why I'm reaching out to you today to ask for your help in gathering donations for school supplies, particularly clocks, markers, a large tactile-built globe, modeled currency, and reading chairs.

I firmly believe that these resources can make a substantial difference in the classroom environment and the learning outcomes of students.

They not only aid in fostering an engaging learning environment but also contribute to the overall learning experience of students. The clocks are for our time unit, where students would benefit from being able to model time, moving the hour and minute hand themselves to calculate time, elapsed time, and end times.

The LEGO globe is a unique educational tool that enables students to explore the world and learn about different countries, cultures, and landmarks. It is an interactive and hands-on way for my students to discover the world and develop their geographic and social studies skills. It also provides an additional tactile approach to geographical learning that will benefit when we learn about different biomes, altitudes, and cultures based on different elevations, closeness to water and other resources, etc.

The reading chairs would be an excellent addition to my classroom as I do not have anywhere for them to sit other than their desk or on the floor. This would provide a new space for students to focus on reading in a relaxing environment spaced between their fellow students for fewer distractions and better engagement.
