This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach 6-12 Grade ELA and our classroom library is extremely outdated. The boys complain that there are not enough books for them and the ones we do have are very old. These books and box sets have been requested by them to update our classroom library. They want sports books and complete box sets of their favorite series so they can read all the books in the series from start to finish. They want books that interest them and that are popular and interesting for them to read. We also have struggling readers and the workbooks will help bridge the gap for them. They are daily resources for us to use in the classroom together to help encourage them to read.
