My Students
Our school is a place where students come to learn and to also feel appreciated. As a teacher, I not only want my students to have respect for adults in the building but also for their fellow classmates. As teachers we want our students to achieve in academics as well as socially.
I want my classroom to be a place where all student feel safe and equal.
The students in my classroom are diverse students. Some are supported, with involved families and other are not. I want all my students no matter the background to feel involved with their own learning experiences.
My Project
Students in my classroom enjoy reading and working around the classroom. The resources requested, specifically the Seymour Simon books, will be used for guided reading. Students will work together to read and analyze the books. Other books included in my lists are newer published books relevant to what we are studying in class: Blended, Projekt 1065, and Warriors.
Flexible seating and relevant reading material are essential in motivating students.
I want my students to love to read and keeping my bookshelf updated is important.
I always like adding new places to read in the classroom. I want students to be comfortable, but also continue to update their seating. We need a rug for students to be able to sit on and the adjustable table for students to work comfortably on the floor. It is important for students to be able to get up and move around to get their brains buzzing!
