This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach 30 bilingual students in a Title 1 school. They face many challenges, but continue to come to school with an eagerness for learning. This year, they have made enormous strides in reading and writing. In fact, they have "Glowed up!" I cannot financially provide the things we need to celebrate this glow up in a way that would be memorable, but they deserve to be celebrated!
To have a glow up party, we need a few black lights, a few grow lights, and some highlighters to write with.
We also need some fun glowing decorations. The students will be blown away by the classroom transformed into a glowing neon world where they will write with highlighters and wear glowing tape on their shirts!
These items are all reusable and can be used in multiple classrooms for many years to come, making it a smart investment to up student engagement, and motivation.
