My students need activity chests for social studies and science. They need Hands-On Science Specimen Centers, an Animals Activity Tub and a Continents and Oceans Instant Learning Center.

My Students
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Ben Franklin
My students are hands-on learners. They can hear the lesson all day, but they do not comprehend the lesson until they can touch and explore it.
I have an inclusion classroom of 25 students.
Many of my students have special needs and have a harder time learning the standards than others.
My students range from below grade level to high achievers who need to be challenged. All of my students love to be active and learn in different ways.
My Project
I am requesting learning materials for science and social studies. Two of our big units are Continents and Animals. We spend a long time talking about location and the different types of animal classifications. The materials I am requesting help students learn further on these subjects.
The animal kit has the different animal classifications that include examples of the animals, pictures, and replicas of the animals. The second animal kit incorporates math and reading while classifying animals.
The continent kit has maps of the Earth with blanks for four students to work and play a game to name the continents and oceans.
This project will help my students further understand the continents, oceans, and animal types.
They will be able to compare and contrast different animals. Seeing the actual pictures will help them compare and contrast.
The social studies kit will help the students be hands-on and learn the location of the oceans and continents when they place the name in the correct place. They will also be challenged by the game cards and questions on them.
