My Students

Every day I enter my music classroom ready to give my students the very best music education I possibly can.

I have been fortunate to have taught music in a variety of settings before finding my current position.

I began my teaching career as a Kindergarten - eighth grade teacher in New York City, but then moved to the Philadelphia area where I first worked as a band director. I enjoyed this position immensely, but I missed teaching general music and working with young children. Last year, I was able to find a position at a wonderful school teaching Pre-kindergarten through third grade general music in a small Title I school in suburban New Jersey.

My Project

As a music teacher, I don't have a pre-written curriculum to follow. I draw on my experience and on music education research to create a course of study for my students. With the Gameplan Music Curriculum, I will have a framework to help develop the best possible curriculum. The Gameplan Curriculum is a comprehensive and dynamic curriculum that will help me to learn about great activities and methods for teaching all my students.
