My Students
I teach at a Title I school that is one of the most diverse schools in the area. The students come from hard working families and are absolutely amazing.
My students are active and eager to learn.
They prefer to sit around the room versus at their desk. I have found that they are happier and more engaged when they are comfortable and when they have choices on where to sit.
My Project
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work. I currently have a few alternative places for the students to work. They love it but I need more places so everyone has the chance to find a place that suits their learning style the best.
My students are active and sitting at a traditional desk is not where they want to spend their time.
They like having choices and enjoy sitting around the room.
