Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are energetic, curious, and full of potential. They thrive in an environment where they feel prepared, supported, and empowered to learn. Many come to school without basic supplies, so I strive to create a classroom that is well-stocked, organized, and welcoming—where all students have equal access to the tools they need to succeed.
The supplies I’m requesting will help us start the school year with everything from sharpened pencils and glue sticks for hands-on learning to privacy folders that support focus and independence during testing and quiet work time.
The electric sharpener ensures our tools are always ready, while take-home folders help students stay organized and build responsibility. Books like The Magical Yet and My Mouth Is a Volcano support our classroom culture with social-emotional learning and growth mindset.
These resources may seem small, but together they create a strong foundation for a year full of learning, creativity, and confidence.
