This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hi! My name is Diana, and I’m beyond excited to begin my very first year as a Critical Reading Interventionist teacher. I’ll be working with amazing students who are 2–4 years behind in reading — and I’m committed to giving them the focused, individualized support they need to grow, feel confident, and fall in love with learning again.

As I prepare our learning space, I’m working hard to make sure it’s clean, organized, and ready to meet their unique needs.

To do that, I’m asking for your help in providing a few key items that will make a big impact on their daily experience.

With your support, I’d love to provide:

- Cleaning supplies like disinfecting wipes, tissues, and hand sanitizer to help keep our classroom healthy and safe.

- Markers and storage bins to keep materials organized, accessible, and ready for hands-on reading activities.

- Charging stations so students can power their Chromebooks during small group or independent work — helping eliminate distractions and maximize learning time.

- A rolling desk that will allow me to move around the classroom easily and provide one-on-one support wherever it’s needed most.

These resources will help me build a classroom that is mobile, tech-ready, and full of care — a space where struggling readers can feel seen, supported, and successful. As a first-year teacher, your generosity means the world to me and to the students I’ll be honored to work with.
