Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Starting a new classroom is exciting—but building a warm, engaging, and well-equipped space for students from scratch is a big challenge. As a teacher in a brand new space, I want to create a classroom that feels like a second home where students are encouraged to learn, explore, and grow.

My students deserve an environment that sparks curiosity and supports their academic and emotional needs.

This project will help provide the basic supplies and furniture that make a classroom functional and inviting, like washi tape on the board to create messages, stools to sit in during our reading groups, yoga balls for comfortable seating and book bins for all of our nonfiction!

Your donation will help transform a bare room into a vibrant learning hub full of color, creativity, and comfort. With your support, I’ll be able to welcome students into a space where they feel safe, respected, and excited to learn every day. The goal is to create a place that feels like HOME for our scholars that have been through quite a bit. A place with peace creates the ideal learning environment.
