My students are a diverse group of first graders in a Title I school. They are each unique with different learning styles and interests. Despite their differences, they come to school each day with open minds and open hearts and are ready to tackle the day. Their passion for learning and the desire to do well is what makes them so phenomenal.
My students are thinkers.
They persevere and support each other when learning new concepts. They build each other up. They feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes.
These students have built relationships with not only me, but also with each other. In our classroom, we are like a family. We laugh together, grow together, and they encourage each other to be the best version of themselves that they can be.
My Project
My students love to learn. Our current classroom could use some brightening up. Getting new storage bins in bright colors and bulletin board trim is the first step in providing our room with a makeover.
I believe it is important to create a fun learning environment where students can work up to their highest potential.
Students should be excited to come to school every morning. When they step foot inside of our classroom, I want them to feel like they are at their school home. These materials will help me to create a learning environment where students look forward to learning every day.
