A Flexible and Hands on Classroom

My students need seating for small group and materials for hands-on learning that will be a great addition to a flexible seating classroom.

My Students

I am a first year teacher and school has not started yet. However, I know most of the students from subbing this past school year, and I know without a doubt they will be more successful with the items I am in need of.

All minds are not alike; therefore, they should not be taught alike.

Our school administration pushes us to implement as much small group and hands-on learning as possible. I believe that small groups, hands-on activities, and flexible seating all allow for a successful classroom experience.

My Project

My students' learning needs are top priority in my classroom. The stools will be used for small group at my kidney table. This will help me address my students' individual needs. The glue sticks, crayons, and markers will be used for our math journals that will be done daily during our math stations. Both the dice and dominoes go hand-in-hand with the guided math curriculum that our school uses. I have pre-made all of the hands-on centers that come with the guided math and multiple centers require dominoes and dice. The clipboards and dry erase pouches will allow for the students to move throughout the room with ease during these centers. Students will be able to learn in the environment that best suits their individual needs.

By donating to this project, you not only help me adapt to all students' needs through diverse teaching techniques, you will also be able to see true growth from each of my students.

We will use these materials daily, and they will all help the students not only become more successful in their academics but also in their personal confidence. I hope this will help build a classroom with a family environment with students that radiate with joy to learn every day.
