A Drying Rack for Fabulous Artwork!

My students need a functional drying rack that is easily accessible. It is important for children to be independent and responsible for the care of their artwork.

My Students

A day in the art room is full or creativity in all forms! A diverse set of materials fill the room and engage the children in learning. We are working towards a drying rack to store our fabulous artwork. We need one that is easily accessible for students of all ages.

The elementary school is a Title I school supporting low-income families.

The school serves children from Pre-K through 3rd grade. This school is under major transformation and full of potential. The art program is an enrichment program to support creativity. Through joyful school experiences, we are forming life-long learners and a positive school climate and culture.

My Project

The children create artwork daily. Such artwork involves painting, watercolor paint, watercolor pencils, glue work, tissue paper, printmaking, and collage projects. The children will use the drying rack to store all two-dimensional work. All grades levels will utilize the drying rack on a daily basis.

A functional drying rack will help children become independent and responsibly for storing their wet artwork.

A durable rack also offers great support and care for the artwork. This kind of rack will keep papers from slipping through and leave them drying flat without drooping and wrinkles.
