it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Seeing the spark in the eyes of my students whenever they discover new knowledge and embark on new experiences is priceless. Science seems to be a strange concept for them but this year, as we kick the year with exciting discoveries about environments, matters, planets, human anatomy and organisms their interests were ignited. The curiosity to learn more and see the connection and application of Science in day to day life open new possibilities for my students. They are eager to learn how the different components of matter work in different conditions. They would like to explore the different habitat and how the relationship between human and plants sustain life. They also would like to understand the human anatomy and how to take care of their changing bodies and emotions.
Eventually, my students would like to expand their understanding of the different opportunities of Science for future careers.
Most of my students do not have the privilege to acquire experiences that would broaden their understanding of how Science and Technology continuously improve the quality of life if these experiences are not provided in school. As a teacher, I would like to bring a wider perspective of Science and Technology to my students and teach them to dream and explore their potentials in becoming more adventurous learners.
