This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom overhead projector is broken. My students enjoyed reading texts and solving math problems on the overhead. Now that it is broken, we need something new and improved. We would love to have a document camera to continue our learning.
My inspiring third graders attend school in New York.
It is a high poverty area and many of my students are housed in temporary shelters. My students come to school everyday and love to read and write. They also love to sing and dance.
My Project
I would love to utilize a document camera in my classroom. I would enjoy teaching my students about this new technology. This would be a learning experience in itself. My students can read books together and see the projected illustrations as well. We can visit websites and learn more about the continents we are studying this year. We can also view and solve math problems.
This technology would be a wonderful motivator for my students to get engaged in learning.
This will improve their reading skills, math skills and current events. They will be able to learn how to use new technology.
