The students in my classroom are as inquisitive as they are unique. Coming from a multitude of diverse backgrounds and individualized needs, my students are excited explorers and avid learners.
In my classroom, we know that everyone has a different set of strengths, experiences, and needs that they bring to the table, both academically and personally.
We strive together to make growing, learning, and developing a tremendous experience for ourselves and for our peers. In order to ensure that each student thrives, we incorporate a variety of learning strategies, problem solving techniques, and diverse materials.
My Project
My students are avid readers! They love to read books about every subject and topic, whether its fiction or nonfiction. Providing them with a wide variety of books covering various cultures, ethnicity, religions, socioeconomic classes, exceptionalities, races, traditions, and languages will allow them to experience these cultures and learn what life is like beyond their community.
My students deserve access to diverse and enriching texts that challenge them both academically and personally to think critically.
They will be able to choose books that interest them. My classroom library lacks those books right now. This project will provide my students the opportunity to explore different worlds through independent reading or small reading circle groups. These book will also allow my students to become curious about others and at the same time become stronger readers.
