Help me give my students an iPad mini, 4 Fire tablets, and Osmo learning kits. These tools allow my scholars the ability to explore learning in a personalized way.
Everything now seems unpredictable and always changing, but in my class there is stability. In our class we are a family, not your average family, but a family where everyone matters and they are always greeted with a warm smile, elbow tap and an air hug. My scholars come from diverse backgrounds and English is a second language for more than half of my students. This school year I have 18 scholars that are creative and eager to learn new things.
My scholars have the desire to learn, but do not have the resources or funds available to expose them to certain experiences and opportunities.
As their teacher, I feel it is my responsibility with the help of others to provide them with the resources they need to have those experiences. They love hands-on, active, engaging projects that challenge and allow them to think outside the box to find solutions.

My Project
These digital tools allow my scholars the ability to explore learning in a personalized way. English is a second language for more than half of my students and they struggle with basic grammar. Having these technologies will enable me to instruct scholars by providing them visuals and hands-on practice for a blended learning experience. My scholars will be able to discover a learning adventure that will assist them in building essential skills in math, science, language, STEM, and reading skills.
My students need reliable and durable technology support in the classroom.
Throughout the school year, my scholars visit various websites for extra skills support. I have tried purchasing inexpensive technology for them in the past, but because of frequent use, it would not last the entire school year. It has become an innumerable burden on my family and I, due to purchasing countless amounts of supplies in all my years of teaching.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. It brings me much joy watching my scholars' faces glow like a lightbulb when they are able to work on their technology and grasp key concepts of learning. I feel these tools are a very good investment because they can teach a variety of subjects in both literacy and math, which reinforces learning and promotes further interest in new subjects.
