Help me give my students tools to think logically, discuss problem solving with peers, and persevere in finding solutions. The flash drives will allow each student to have a virtual tutor chat bot to help with homework.
I teach Algebra 2 and AP Precalculus, but more importantly, in this age where Generative AI can give students the answer and all steps to any math problem assigned, I teach logically thinking, computational discussion within teams, and perseverance in problem solving. All skills that will be needed for the careers of the future that my students will have. Careers that don’t even have a name yet, in some cases.
Help me provide the tools that will allow for this kind of learning in my classroom.
The tables will give space for teams to work more efficiently than individual desks, and the flash drives will allow for me to give each student a custom built virtual tutor/chatbot that ensures the conversation doesn’t end with the class bell. Students will have access to the support they need to continue their mathematical explorations at home, even if they don’t have high speed internet - and their data is all safe within the school issued devices.
