A Day in the Life of a 3rd-Grade Student in Detroit
My students need this easel for the many lessons that take place each day. It's extremely helpful having kids sit near the easel while a lesson/discussion takes place.

My Students
My biggest challenge each day is motivating my students to be actively involved in their educational process. At the end of the year my prayer is that my students have become independent thinkers and problem solvers...ready to take on their next challenge!
My students are innocent, beautiful children who give me so much love each day!
They are products of their environment, and sometimes circumstances of home life gone awry. They are from economic low income families, often times coming to school hungry and upset over issues from home beyond their control. They have experienced many losses and hardships at their tender age, and didn't ask to be in many of the situations they are in. Our school is committed to everyone of them, and the teachers all put forth 110% each and every day. We are all emotionally connected to making their lives better.
My Project
My easel will enable me to conduct many lessons for my students to become actively engaged during instruction. My students love coming up to the board to demonstrate a problem, or spell a word. This easel will ensure they are directly involved throughout the lesson. Students will be able to compete in multiplication games, and increase their desire to stay connected.
Your donation will improve my classroom and the lives of my students simply by them being able to use the easel when we are brainstorming in writing and reading.
Students will love to work on the easel during center work and during math. Your donation will directly impact my students in positive and productive ways. A piece of you will have touched a child attending school in Detroit.
